Events

The XTERRA STOAKED event was established in Hanover, NH in 2004.  STOAKED is a weekend long event held in August that includes trail running, short off‐road triathlon, children’s triathlon and an XTERRA length triathlon. XTERRA events are recognized internationally averaging over 160,000 participants each year and 60,000,000 television viewers worldwide.  There are over 100 XTERRA events in the United States and over 100 events internationally.

The Western NH Trail Running Series was established in 2008 and consists of seven trail runs in seven towns May through October. The series attracted over  800 participants in 2010.  Participants see the amazing natural beauty that each of these courses has to offer both to the seasoned trail runner and the runner looking to vear off the pavement.  The unique feel that participants get at each of the different venues is what make them so special and feel like events rather than races.

In 2009, Team AMP introduced the Winter Wild Uphill Series, an endurance event focused on skinning and skiing on one’s own power up and down the ski area. The local ski venues, Whaleback, Ragged Mountain, Pats Peak, and Mount Sunapee were each hosts to the Winter Wild series in the winter of 2011.  Events run January through March beginning at 7 a.m. and are open to ALL types of non-motorized ski gear and participants.  The 2010 Winter Wild event series was so highly regarded in its inaugural year that it received the New Hampshire Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness Award as well as the New Hampshire Parks and Recreation Association Programming Excellence Award.  The event at Whaleback in January of 2011 was highlighted on New Hampshire Chronicle attracting statewide attention and interest in the event from other New Hampshire ski areas.  Over 500 individuals participate in this series each year.
